the track Dial off their upcoming EP sounds a whole lot like it's inspired by Mesiur Vogel to me...the randomized organ riff..the graniulized rhythms...

From what I've read the DVD part seems a bit of cop out ...

Two old videos (BassCadet and something else) and one new one ...

But no 5.1 audio ... apparently they felt that because everyone could have a different 5.1 setup they couldn't guarantee how it would sound.

Which seemed a bit of a lame excuse ...

it may seem lame that they're not doing the 5.1, but they're audiophiles. i know if i make something and i want it to be heard in a specific way, i wouldn't want to release it if the potential for variation from system to system was very drastic. some people are just pickier than others.

so is it only the videos? i hoped they would make an album on dvd and work with the benefits the medium delivers, e.g. higher sample rates, visuals etc. that would really be worth buying but only the videos? hmm.

It is a town nearby Frankfurt. Perhaps 10 min. away from my home.

that´s why i thought they were from frankfurt after i saw that video the first time on viva housetv....but nope, nothing that good from frankfurt.
i think the video was from cunningham or? must be almost 8 years old now...

here's an interesting piece of trivia, fact fans

Glossop in Derbyshire, UK is twinned with Bad Vilbel, DE. (so its a kind of "second bad vilbel)
Glossop is on the way from Sheffield (ex-home of Warp) to Manchester (home of Autechre).

So there you go.....
