fahrenheit 451 is an excellent distopian view of tv at the expense of other imparters of knowledge (ie books).

i saw the policemen killing this young guy, too... i hate such pictures, fuckin reality... even the same with war pic's from everywhere, expecially promo-videos from extremists/terrorists (some weeks ago i saw a video made by algerian terrorists, killing several regular soldiers... aaaah

you know you can buy these things now called tv guide.
its basically a magazine that tells you what is going to be on the television before its actually on.
they are quite good for giving you advance warning that there will be something on you might not like.
i use them quite regularly... i think they are sold in all countries too.

i like tv aswell but only about 5% of it, like 6 feet under, the simpsons, futurama, and others that i cannae think o right now.
but most of it is pure shite like eastenders and all the soaps, would have the tv off most of the time but one of me flatmates insists on watching all the crap and not the good stuff. eh?

there was a good prog last year about why you shouldn't watch tv at all , made me write all over the front of me tv in marker pen.

haha... ah yes but i thought , seeing as people here seem to be having trouble with just switching off the programs they dont like, maybe it would be too much of a technological tall order for them to surf the net using a kom pu ta at home without their office manager to help.
thats why i suggested the magazine version... quite big print and i have heard it features an idiots tutorial showing how to switch off a television during a boring programme :)
