Sleep Patterns:
the best advice I've gotten is to force yourself to acclimate right away. If you arrive and it's daytime, stay up and awake until a reasonable bedtime, likewise, if it's night time upon arrival, go to sleep and get up at a normal hour for breakfast.
Cuts down on jetlag the best, I find.
Also, there is this new thing called NaDH-Alert (sp?) which is a tab you eat containing some kind of neuro-synaptic-whatsit-thinger which helps you feel awake. It's NOT a stimulant though, its some kind of neurotransmitter ingrediant. Used it in Thailand, seemed to work, but then again, I was using the above advice also.
Healthy PPL Fight Infection Better:
As far as actually being on the plane and staying healthy (ie: not catching someone elses cold or SARS (haha)), the best advise there is simple as well. Get on the plane in a healthy condition and take and extra dose of Vitamin C (ie: 1000mg every 4 hours). And for example, don't stay up allllll night the day before a long journey.
In-Flight Excersize:
Last bit: dont forget to get up and walk around once every couple of hours, or at least do some in-seat leg excersizes. I personally hate getting out of my seat on flights. But DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is bad news, so do something to stretch and use your muscles a bit.
holy crap that was long.

if you're lucky, your plane will have a games console on your small monitor's menu. i was lucky enough to have this on my flight from manchester->singapore....and low and behold, they had some wicked tetris games on there ! (dr mario, as far as i remember)
if anything passes the time, those games will.
oh yeah, and wiggle yer toes too now and again......

whatever you do, don't travel with a cat! it will proceed to piss all over the place and meow the whole flight long.

take some moisturiser for your face and hands. take a warm jumper and some nice warm socks cos air conditioning gets really cold. take a big bottle of water, and some snacks you like, fruit and light healthy things. i dont think they feed you enough on planes these days. dont drink caffeine or alcohol. take some essential oils like lavender for your pulse points for soothing. take some valerian if you are scared of flying. take a really excellent blockbuster novel to keep you occupied, or hope they are showing some films. i like a nice weepy on the plane.
dont take of your shoes.. they wont fit when u land

valium, valium, double bloody mary, sleep.
oh and last time i heard AE- Confield on a plane , i needed to throw-up
i dont suggest..
I was thinking the very same thing, I'm planning to go on holiday very soon and I've never been on a plane before! To tell you the truth I'm shitting it.....

dont think about it. take off is really fun. the middle bit is boring. landing hurts your ears.
on the landing front to avoid ear damage, when they offer you a driink earlier, ask for a whisky and save it till landing, it opens your membranes or something...helps with the pressure.
drinking alcohol during a long flight is bad because it dehydrates you more, and you're already getting dehydrated by the flight itself.
so if you have to drink have a lot of water as well
i dont recommend any class a action the night before. i have flown whilst tripping and on several e's and it was one of the worst experiences ever, 2 hours too long.
Don't whatever you do travel by plane. You could be on the plane with the suicide bomber or the guy with the shoe bomb. imagine the terror as a small device gos off and you face certain death. and just imagine when you die you get trapped in a triangle void for infinity like zod is superman 2.

i remember once driving on lsd in car with my parents and a friend of mine to portugal... it was fun in the beginning but in the end a fucking nightmare... drugs while travelling arent recommended... and as allready mentioned, make yourself comfortable is vital...

Pray they have all the Super NES games ......... old school mario ..... it'll keep you up for hours !
take a little hand held fan cos those big planes dont have individual air cooling... just some vague somewhere else type air conditioning.
get one of those funny triangle pillows that go round your neck so you can sleep easier sat up.
following on from emmas class a warning...
i haven`t travelled on e`s or acid...scareylol , but i have flown on speed , that was great haha
it turned, a train, plane, another plane then another train into a right laff.
it wasn`t so funny coming back the next day though :illin:

HAHAHA, I think blackmarket benzo dude is the best bet for me.
Don't think anyone's mentioned it, but take two asprin just before you take off. It thins the blood, which helps stop clots, so no DVT there.
Take an ailse seat if you can get it. It's nice to stretch your legs. Even better, turn up extra early for check-in, and ask for an emergency exit seat. You get super leg room, then. On the 747s, you are basically missing a row in front of you. Plus you'll be right next to the air hostesses, so you can ask for drinks all the time. Bonus.

Don't take Acid or a hairy terrorist with you
do take two to four Vicoden (two at a time only)
Drink dewars (special reserve if they have it) on rocks with a water back. It will help you sleep. oh drink lightly if you pop the vicodens
Mints, or your breath will be kicking something mean
GBA SP, with any castelvania title you can find
MUSIC, but of course
thank you all so much for the tips.
i can't imagine a bigger cringe in the whole world than travelling while tripping (i already feeling
hypersensitive to the whole experience to begin with).
valerian root sounds like a good idea.
i would like some Valium but will have to settle
for Tylenol PMs.

a ten hour flight is nothing compared to flying to oz from europe...i mean that´s just fuckin mental!!!
the best thing to do is fly business class or first class... if not listen to what dirtyho said!!!
im actually flying baggage class, you know with
the dogs in cages and the rations for the troops.
