I've been thinking about this - I want to spray paint some shirts, but wanna know if anyone knows what sort of paint to use... or how to seal it or anything...
any ideas anyone?
I've used spraypaint but it fades after a while, the best thing to do is buy proper fabric paint andsome of the special stuff you mix with the paint to make it stay. It's quite dear though but it works really well, we've made some t-shirt ourselves using multiple stencils (one for each colour) and they look pretty impressive.
But if you must use spraypaint then I think I read somewhere that if you put greaseproof paper over it when it has dried, you then Iron over it to sort of melt it into the fabric.
Don't know how good that is though...

there must be a site somewhere with screen printing techniques on it.
i know a guy who is really good at it, he screen prints all his record sleeves by hand.

i have freinds that do it. i used to screen t-shirts and be the guy that takes those hot bastards off the press, and those boitches are hot!
Grobs: encore une autre parallèle - We have been working with prints lately... Interesting concepts involving sound waves... I went through a silk-screen printer to begin the process- We sold out of the shirts/skirts- and thus, I now learn how to silk screen myself (to save on costs)- fabric paints are the best to use... but I will keep you posted as to what we find are our best sources etc...
I too thought of the spray paint venture... but in long term- farbic paints are the best bet- for a longer life-span.

i'd advise you to only wear a piece of merchandise if it's your own.
however, i plan to zealously flog my shit to as many people as possible.

pablo uses spray paint - car paint right? - to spray clothes - ive got a few of his shirts still going strong after a few years...you dont get bright colours on fabric and you need to practice, and its best of you cut stencils...but it looks cool
S_C shirts...aaahh the old classic...we made some last year for the tour and they all went...we have a really cool mosquito / no future shirt on hold because we never have the available cash to print them up, and then its just stress actually getting them to the shops
making clothes is for fucking pikey gypos.
get some decent threads from ted baker, evisu, armani. nice shit.
i can just see you in ted baker and armani...you ladyboy
nothing wrong with armani or ted baker mate, good threads. I can picture you in your green army surples jacket with your photoshop scanned tea bag abstract tin foil potato print design using the wooden plank font. its good mate.

armani doesn't quite fit the picture i had of someone outta the chelmsford ghetto though....unless it's one of those...leave the chippendales in the let, we'll take the hepplewhite' kinda ghettoes lol
oh yer everyone who wears those clothes is saturday night 'options' nightclub beer boy. what a generalisation. your just plain JELOUS.

well you've generalised that everyone who makes their own clothes is a pikey gypo. so you're not only jealous, but also ignorant.
[cue badly spelled offensive retort]

hehe lol to be honest, i was shocked at phils choice of natty threads
cos i had him down as wearing one of those tracksuits, with the elasticated legs...horrible skanky nylon thing...awful trainers...big white ones and a baseball cap.
probably stood next to his ford capri pulling machine.
god knows why i might have got that impression.
but it turns out he is the sophisticated one amongst us...psyche
