Hello All,

I'm hoping someone can help me out? A few your years ago when Super Collider were firing up the airwaves or something like that on Radio 1 they did a Breezeblock mix on Radio 1 for Mary Anne Hobbs. To this day I have have a copy of said mix on tape and treasure each and every day it is that good. However I never actually got a copy of the tracklisting for the mix and some of the songs I would dearly love to get hold of in there original form. Can anyone help me out with a tracklisting. Secondly due to the fact that I have played this same tape in the last 3 years about 100 times the quality is wearing each time has anyone got the original mix on CD or in a good quality MP3?

If I may also be slightly cheeky, I have been itching to get hold of better condition copies of both the 12" of Darn Cold Way O Lovin and You Loosen Me Human, I have the originals but at the time I bought them the quality of the cases was severely diminished. Can anybody help me out and point me to a place where I can get a second better copy from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Finally according to the press releases and the fact that 'messagesacomin' got reviewed in the NME can anybody tell me when the actual release date for the 12" is. I read somewhere that it was the 29th April I was just wondering in anyone could confirm this for me,

To all those that can provide answers to the questions I've asked thanks in advance and I look forward to the new Super Collider album and single,

Cheers Richard

Excellent! that mix we did was really special - I remember Jamie freakin out the engineer at radio 1 by being really quiet on the mic and then shouting really loud - we played sound effects of snuffling pigs , as well as possibly the only UK radio play ever of Bobby Conn!!! - I have a DAT copy of said mix up ... somewhere in the tape room... maybe time has come to dig it out and distribute it ...

as for tracklist , this is a very real possibility... :!

To Cristian,

Cheers for the reply, I think you are right it probrably was the first and only time Bobby Conn got played on Radio 1 although now thanks to the TwistedNerve label he's getting a bit more attention. I first remember seeing him on the MTV show Alternative. His video was the craziest I've ever seen, I'm still trying to remember what the name of that song was to this day. I always thought the track at the beginning of the mix was him but could never be sure and didn't know what the name of the track was. So if you could tell what it was and what the remaining tracks were on the mix, I would greatly appreciate it.

To get hold of a proper copy of that mix on a nice 320kbps MP3 or something like that would also be really cool :) I would say it is as good if not better than the Coldcut Journeys By DJ mix it is that good. It certainly changed my outlook on life of the music I listen too. So if you can make it available, even to sell then please do!!

If you can help me out with my attempts at trying to replace my 12" copies of Darn Cold, You Loosen Me and also to finally help me get a hold of the Derrick Carter mix of Darn Cold, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Finally when is the 'messageacomin' single released in the UK just so I know when to pop down my record shop,

Cheers Richard

ok a few responses

1. the bobby conn video you saw was almost certainly for "Never Get Ahead" which is on bobby conn - bobby conn (truckstop / atavistic 1997)
2. the bobby conn track played in that awesome collider mix (which i havent heard since, unfortunately) was "No Kids No Money" from the same album
3. i will remind cristian to look for that mix...as to uploading it as an MP3 file, thats out of my field of influence!
4. for copies of super_collider records that were released on Loaded, you must contact them directly - they may even have a web shop now. go to www.loaded-records.com or www.skint.net. ill have a check myself and post what i find out here
5. "messagesacomin" was released in May / June as far as i can remember...there were a lot of delays around. ill double check that. out of interest, why do you need to know the release date?
