ghosts

do you believe in ghosts or not and have you ever seen one or had contact with one?

I believe in ghosts even though the idea of ghosts sort of go against my philosophy on what happens to you after death.

I myself have never seen one or had any contact with one that I know of. but my mum has. when she was a little girl living in uddingston scotland there was a ghost in her house. it was an old woman who would sit in a chair and watch her while she fell asleep. she said it wan't scary and was actually very comforting.

my mom had a ghost cat that used to run around on the cieling and piss everywhere....... she had to eventually move out of the house....

i think i've never seen a ghost... but i remember a story my mother told me... when she was a little girl, she saw a shadow moving out of the laundry/cellar 2-3 times over the years. nobody was there, but she thought she saw a shadow... everytime she saw it some weeks later somebody of her relatives/family died...
germany isn't the land of many ghosts... i think it's scotland like you said, sheridan...
here are only some places i never want to be at night...
some hundret meters away from a house where a ex-girlfriend of a good friend of mine lived, there was a old quarry, and one day some people found a girl there, she was thrown down from the cliffs there... nobody ever found her murder...
and another friend told me a story where he and a friend (they were nearly 10-12years old there) played near a old hut and wanted to break in... they couldn't get inside... one week after that the police found a fragmented woman body inside who lay there for nearly over a week... ... good ghost storys to tell some girls inside a car when you stand somewhere outside hehe... :-)

this is true.

when i was little, about five years old, i woke up in the dead of night and there was a pitch black figure at the end of my bed, this happened a few times in my childhood, once he appeared very close to my head when i was sleeping. Strangely though i wasn't petrified as you would expect.

i later on found out that a boy had burned to death in my bedroom.

and thats FACT.

@phil? hmm somebody died by burning down in your room, and the house is still standing?

i would never move inside a apartment where somebody died such a unnormal death... i don't believe in parapsychological things, but in such a situation i think there's still a ghost there :-)
