Why the cocking fuck does the account I have to pay my income tax into show up as "Cumbernauld" in my internet banking?

I can choose from stuff like "HMRC - Inheritance Tax" and various other obvious things... then I have "Cumbernauld".

I've paid into it before and still it shits me up handing over the thousands of pounds I saved for paying my tax to someone called Cumbernauld. Will the taxman ever get it? Or have I made some stupid error that'll lead to months of frustrating bureaucratic wanklery and countless hours of shitty hold music?

There's a polish lad works in the same office as me and he's always having to ask questions about stuff like car tax, insurance etc... how the fuck would he ever work out that he should pay tax to Cumbernauld? This country is fucking stupid.

I know. I'm just not convinced it's a good enough reason :) There are about 3 million types of tax.. and several others are explicitly labelled. Then there's "Cumbernauld".

Why not call our driving licenses a "Swansea" and our tax discs "Swansea Circles". They could call your passport your "Peterborough".. just to make everything really fucking confusing.

Could they just rename Cumbernauld to "Tax Town" maybe?
