too bad, I was hoping for a battle mixer, really miss scratching.. I broke my technics mixer last week (worst mixer - ever.. _never_ buy one of those; the crossfader started to leak like after one week of scratching...)

I've tried that Rane, my boy got one of those, they are fucking sweet. real clean, and durable, small too, they are thin actually. Worth the price, cause you wont have to buy another for a long while.

the xone424 is a little bigger and it's got a 4 band eq. a friend of mine has the xone626 (i think that's the right one). it's got 4 phono/line ins along with a 4 channel line mixer like one out of the mix wizard mixer they make. it's beastly... and oh does it sound sweet. very expensive though

yeah im thinkning of selling my vestax turntables, and vestax mixer too, DJ"ing" isnt really something i do alot of nowadays, and its always nice to have a set of turntables, but they just take up too much space......and i would like to get one of the HIFI vestax green belt drive turntables instead. and spend the money on a couple new computers maybe. i just dont know though, ill know ill regret it later

@ PILLE, homey don't sell the decks, especialy if you are going to get belt drives instead. If room is the problem, then the belt drives would take up just as much space, right?

Yeah, I've mixed with the bigger ones as well. They are a pleasure to use, great sound quality - especially the 64.

Absolutely, Allen & Heath have got it sewn up. I am partial to a pioneer 600 though.

About the Xone mixers - hear hear, a friend of mine's got a big one (maybe the one you were talking about Mux; I remember it having 4-band eq:s, 4 channels, and 2 lowpass/hipass filters), it was very
very nice. I'd get a Xone over a Pioneer 600 any day.. almost. :)

As with the Rane mixers though, the Xones are expensive..... :/

yeah i guess............i know down the road ill use them more often, im just tired and un interested in spinning anymore. im doing a weekly radio show on tech's at the local radio station on saturday nights, and i have tons of fun for about 5 hours. but when im at home its a pointless act. the only thing fun to play nowadays is techno, and im not a beliver in practicing. about 8 years ago when i started spinning, it was so fun, and i got better and better, but now, its less exciting. i need to spin with other ppl to have some fun, anybody want to tag?

yeah have you guys heard any talk about the world highway? its supposed to be a highway conecting every continent, theres a special documentary on discovery channel this next week. it looks very cool the ideas of floating submersable highways, very cool stuff.........but yeah wille that will be the way.

I used to hate the pioneers untill I spent some time on the 600 and I like it a lot now, but I don't like the fact that the headphones are post eq. so when I am cueing if I drop out the bass I hear it in the phones. I prefer to hear the record I am going to play and set my eq for when I bring it in but not hear those changes in the headphone. I would love to check out those allen & heath mixers though.

@pille: don't sell your tables bro. it seems like a good idea now but as soon as they're gone you are going to regret it. yo, we need to get together and tag team. I will come down and play on that radio station!!!!!:)
