I believe there are 1 or 2 people on here who know the ins and outs of photoshop.

I'm just using Elements 5.0, have been for a few months now. All of a sudden I can't get the damn clone tool to work, i.e. alt-click doesn't do what it's suposed to, and I get this message:

Could not use the clone stamp tool because the area to clone has not been defined (Alt-click to define a source point).

I've googled it, and some people recommend uninstalling and reinstalling (which I've tried), and other people mention that I must have installed some other application which uses alt click (I haven't, as far as I can tell), and the final suggestion was to disable my antivirus (AVG, tried this, no luck).

I use photoshop for VERY basic stuff (I don't even use layers), but this is one of the few tools I use and now it doesn't work I dunno what to do.

This is really boring, and I've been trying to fix it all day :(

Thanks in advance for any ideas...

Panic over. Dunno how I fixed it but it's fine now.

Let's use this thread to post pics of monkeys.

I was actually just browsing the forum without logging in. But the prospect of a monkey-thread means I had to.

on a related note, this video totally blew me away (although that was a bit of an over-reaction)

Turns out we've all been opening Bananas wrong all our lives.
