Anyone ever been? Specifically Platinum Ray or Spoon or any other fellow Paddies on NF? I'd Love to see Chic! But I doubt very much if I could go due to cost :( and my 7 month old daughter :)
The line up looks pretty damn good though.
I'm watching bbc 2 at the mo, and T in the Park is on (which looks like hell :()

i was only at it once, a couple of years ago - and i didn't stick around for the weekend - just went down for a day on a freebie. i thought it was pretty good, far less of a pain in the hole than Oxygen or any of those massive things. some pretty decent bands, comedy tent, quite chilled out, lots of thirtysomethings, not so many madsers in gaa shirts. it's about as good as you're going to get in this country as far as the big festivals go.
i'll be surfing in Bundoran that weekend though :)

I've been every year bar one, bit more of an older crowd and not many knackers, not as many people in general so its easy to get around, campsites aren't insanely large, lots of extras to do if you want to take a break from music for a bit, it is expensive though, that said, myself and the missus got our tickets the week they went on sale and are really looking forward to it :) here's the line up so far (http://www.electricpicnic.ie/html/music.html)

My irish mate goes all the time and only has good things to say about it.
the price puts me right off though.

Never been myself, but I've only heard good things. One mate in particular who absolutely hates festivals and general crustiness says it's good and well organised, which to me means that it must be really deadly.
The line-ups over the years haven't captured my imagination tho or I've been abroad. I'm not a big festival goer tbh.

all my friends love it. but they've also been saying it gets a little bit less good every year...but it's still by far the best in ireland.

bigus, i was just speaking to someone who's bringing their kids to Electric Picnic. apparently children under 12 get in for free and they have a family campsite and all of that stuff. might not be practical for you given your little one is only tiny, but i thought i'd mention it.
they can pretty much take care of themselves at 7 months can't they?

pretty much, complex post office forms are a bit of challenge but most other stuff is manageable at 7 months.
