i see how much this beverage is loved by the board. i certainly hope it tastes differently in germany... cuz i hate black licorice and thats exactly what that shit with the buck on the front in a green pill bottle tastes like. keep it away from me. tequila is where its at, and it comes with worms (sometimes) and there are no 'rumors' of it being made with deer blood.

as for the worm in tequila that is just a tourist thing it is totally unnecessary... and no, jägermeister won´t taste different in germany than it tastes in wherever you are.

nah dont get me wrong, jagermeisters unite, and stuff... but i think it tastes like black licorice. i know alot of people who grew up in japan that hate rootbeer because there was some medicine that they all took and were disgusted by it and the shit tastes like rootbeer. i have had me some licorice in my day boy. black licorice is nazty. the person who invented that and the person who invented jagermeister should arm wrestle. id pay to see that. the two shits taste the same.

aleksi was worming about in a sarcastic manner.

but im talking straight chilled or room temp. not as an ingredient for other mixes.

Anyone here had the Finnish drink Salmiakki Vodka (I've probably spelt it wrong)... Its essentially liquorice vodka... but you can make it yourself - much like you can make flavoured vodkas by grinding up sweets and dissolving them in the spirit...

For folks in the UK - all you need to do is go to Ikea, in the Swedish food bit at the end, you can buy boiled sweets called Turkish Pepper (they come in a dark blue bag) - they are possibly one of the strongest liquorice sweets you can get in the UK (although you get stronger ones in Finland)...

Simply take a good handful of them, grind them up and put them into a bottle of vodka - leave them to dissolve for a day or two - and hey presto Salmiakki vodka - delicious straight from the freezer...

...and no fucking Coca-cola either...

well i´m a vegan moste of the time. but with the liquour i´m an all taker except for Redwine i guess... well that goes to, but then i´ve to drunk before i drink it.

thinki i liked tequila to, but i´m pretty scared of it since i woke up right next to a big rock at a end trainstation i stockholm at 7am... i´ve probably walked 1or2kilometers from the endstation aswell.

tequila is what i started on, so i am very partial to the taste. it is quite nasty on the flipside if you overdo it.

tequila shots straight no chaser with pints of coors light = classic stu session, but not my only combo by any means.

tequila I think tastes like shit so I don't drink it.
and I stay away from whiskey because the last time I drank it I blacked out and almost died in one of Pille's friends bathtub.

jager is the only liquor I drink. but one question. how is jager supposed to be served?? because here in the states sometimes I get shots of jager warm, other times I get warm or chilled jager in a frosted shot glass, or I get chilled jager in a warm shot glass. which one is correct?

well, you dont get the taste then youre fast(orange after the golden teq, and so on) thats the funny side about.
although i wont say that the golden tastes bad (the silver always made me puke after the first, maybe because i already had drunk enough at that point, who knows..)

i think it should be served cold in a shot glass (doesn't matter if the glass is frosted or not).......warm jäger does not taste that good !

mmmm, thats interesting. I actually like jager to be warm! for me it goes down easier than cold. but then again, different strokes for different folks.

That shit is great with a couple of beers - I usually take a bottle or two with me when going abroad, tends to split people trying it into the a) yummy b) keep that nasty shit away from me camps...

and yeah, we got some helluva tough liquorice around here! :D

we have a drink in the states that I have found divide people into the love it/leave it factions. it is called st. ides special brew. essentially it is just a malt liquor (40 oz type) that has fruity flavors added. I myself think it is garbage as I would just rather have a real beer instead. but I have met people that just eat that stuff up.
