the favorite flag thread had me thinking about family coat of arms. so I thought it would be cool if everyone postd their family shield.

yeah roche, mine is native to ireland as well. nice one there.

as for why we all have crests. many familys in the uk spawned from clans and the clans designed crests, shield, coat of arms, whatever you want to call it. but I can see that not every family has one.
