core melted down again - its been a long time since that happened!

after a lot of sweating and MySQL admin , I think its OK now - I have tried a limit on sessions now to try and control bandwidth - all those images (gunjack / phil) are pushing the load limit on the board, as they are stored locally on our server ... ummm... anyway , lets hope its OK now...

I was just saying to our IT guy - (no point hiding - he know any way) that Soulseek appears to be tits up and my fave forum has gone down the pan - its looking like I'm gonna have to get on with some work - bugger...

Anyone else lost of soulseek or has said IT gone cut me off... :(

I'm not blaming those two - it wasn't their fault - I guess we just have to watch the server load , and bandwidth - everytime we exceed our allowed bandwidth at our host server , they charge us per MB - its tight , but times are tight ! FIGHT SPAM . . and things will get better .. Of course , we will always keep this form free , and ad-free , we pay for it all cos we love it! so lets just try and be aware of bandwidth ... its like watching water consumption during a hot summer ... a bit

Try visiting the Soulseek webpage =)

Nir has overhauled the server stuff and the new version is no longer compatable with the new version. The two servers have been running side by side for about two weeks now and recently Nir switched the old one off so you must have a new client to connect. Check your version, anything 139 or less won't work anymore and the latst build is 145.

could try xternal linking only?
realise that this means some img will disappear from view, over time, due to transitory nature of web, but would save server space.

i only ever hotlink. i have never uploaded images to the erutufon server. my images never cost the board bandwidth.
