Bought Mister Heartbreak by Laurie Anderson in the fleamarket couple of days ago 'cos I noticed it had a William Burroughs spoken word track on it, which , it turns out, is the best track on the album. It's a Bill Laswell production so everything's a bit er.. higgledy piggledy.
Before that I actually got about 5 (incredibly weird) LP's completely free at the Helsinki library storeroom some time last week (to keep.forever.).

I buy vinyl every week. Almost every time I leave the house, in fact :illin:
In the last week I bought this Michael Nesmith album

Which features this amazing breakbeat: http://drop.io/nesmith_break
And the new Zomby 12".

I was trying to explain it to a friend of mine the other day. I couldn't, really. I ended up saying "imagine the logical conclusion of techno."

yep, brilliant little record shop. it was touch and go if it would survive the year as the powers that be at the council have decided to build [on the site of an almost pleasant outdoor shopping area called the 'hayes' remember that emef?] a massive shopping mall [yes, a goddamn, grade-a, motherfuckin' mall dude] right outside and cos the location/real estate will be so valuable to the plethora of chain coffee hovels and soulsucking bars that they tried to close spillers. a petition quickly got going and it was eventually saved. thank jebus.
a quick note - their medium yellow spillers tshirts are by no means an average, kickaround playing, guinness drinking mans medium. makes me look like i've been shot in the back by a rather large torpedo. whilst pregnant.

The 'logical conclusion of techno ' ? And it's a tune from 1997 ? Yeah, that's about right actually. :)

it's the logical conclusion in that it has no melody, fucking hard beats, a cavernous sound and would generally make anyone not into hard techno tell the person playing it to stop.
It's brilliant.
