zip?..

It's the full membership list of the BNP in a zip file, because every time it's actually posted on a web page they get it taken down.
Anyone see anyone they know on there? :illin:

No one that I know is on there, but have seen a few addresses that are only a few roads down from me. I still can't believe the level of detail that's avaliable on this list...

yep, i was supprised at how few though, given the pop is about 160k
like i said though, cultural wasteground. it is, id say, without doubt that the homogony of the place that limits any mass of strong feeling.
in this case, that lack of feeling isnt bad, but hardly somthing to be proud of either...

A lot of the lists being distributed now have more names than when they first surfaced... lots of revenge additions it seems so I don't think anyone should believe anything they read on it...

I'd been thinking the same about this. Reminds me of the Sun/paedo list thing, only this time it's not going to be paediatricians getting firebombed, it's going to be members of the BPN (Bereaved Parents’ Network)...

Remember that this list is confirmed. I mean, they called bnp and asked 'is this the list that leaked???' and people at bnp answered 'yes it is'.
Sounds reasonable, heh?

not strictly true..
It was on the Today programme this morning, and also on the BBC website now:
Mr Griffin earlier said the list was "essentially genuine", but a number of names of people who were not or are not party members had been added.

yes, but which list is this list? Who knows which one is the original list from the many floating around.
Did anyone else look for their bosses name in the hope of finally getting rid of them :)

There's a whole raft of people on the list who have resigned or not renewed their membership, including one who resigned saying he 'didn't want to be told not to wear a bomber jacket', presumably by BNP leadership. Or that could have been added by japesters of course.

somebody down my street is on there - just looked and all the lights are off. It must be a horrid life for him because 3rd of my street is asian, another 5-odd houses are black, there are a few chinese, greek, polish, a couple of miltant lesbians. Shit you must have some fucked-up time being BNP and living in East London. Hope someone hurts him.

There's a few in Brixton and other parts of SW London too.
What gets me is the members who live in Spain, ie a foreign country as immigrants and who no doubt don't do much to integrate with the local population. There's even one woman who lives in Saudi Arabia. WTF?

Yeah... there could also be a lot of impressionable, sheltered, wretched or stupid people on there who joined without really knowing what they were getting into and left again but their names are still on the list. It's not like the BNP aren't known for underhand tactics and being lying cunts... they prey on the weak.

If BNP will continue with Redwatch and their despicable racism, they can only expect their members to get some organised retaliation.
Its worth reading some of http://www.searchlightmagazine.com if you have any sympathies for the far right.
Yes they do pray on the weak and uneducated - you only need to read the Express and Daily Mail to read articles that are very similar to the shite th BNP talks.... Hurrah for the Blackshirts

The ones in Spain are probably all old crims who will claim to anyone who'll listen that they're 'political exiles' :( :D

A friend of mine on another forum made an interesting point, this is all publicity for them and any retaliation would further give them a soapbox to cry from.
Personally I'm a bit suspicious of this, I can't say exactly what I think might be going on cos fuck knows but it's all a bit fishy to me.
I can't help but think this has been orchestrated somehow - the recent spate of media manipulation and the way it's being going for years tells me to be very wary of big stories like this, it's often just a distraction or to create a situation which can be abused, I'm not saying the media created this situation, but perhaps some media savvy types within the BNP did ?
Wether it's genuine data or not - what does it really mean ? Why should we be getting all excited ? Are we gonna have a witch-hunt ? If so, what are we missing out on while all that happens ? And will the persecution of these people add further fuel to their flame ?
Besides that, as idealistic as it sounds, I think the only way to fight this ideology is to retain the moral high-ground, so I really can't get excited by the prospect of a witch hunt or any follow up persecution.
I think it goes without saying that these guys can expect an organised retaliation, I can understand that, but I can't go along with thinking that's cool.

OK, so let's assume that nothing extra's been added to the list out of spite, even then I believe it's best not to publish. There are children whose parents joined the whole family up, their names are on the list, what if they got targeted/threatened/beaten up? And how about people who joined and then 'saw the light' and changed their minds? Besides, this list was from last year.
Think of the film 'This is England'...
Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of being antifascist but I believe this isn't the best way to tackle these bigots.
