The Israeli occupation force has killed another peace activist, 22
year old Tom from Manchester. They shot him in the back of the head.

He was trying to get two little girls out of the way of Israeli
snipers at the time. The only quote the IDF has put out so far is
"Palestinian fighters often use people as human shields to protect
themselves."

PLEASE at the very least forward the following email far and wide,
and the palsolidarity web address. It is an eye witness report and we
cannot let the IDF spin the story into Tom wandering into some
shoot-out between two armies. That was NOT the case. The true version of Rachel's death a few weeks ago drowned out the IDF "she ran out in front and the driver didn't see her" within hours, because everyone worked speedily to get the truth out.

It's the least we can do. God knows what else there is - speak out,
contact your local Israeli embassy and protest the shooting of
international human rights workers in the strongest terms - and see
what else may be done by following www.palsolidarity.org. There is
more there about what happened yesterday.

it does get a small two paragraph mention in the
Special Report:Arafat's New Caninet (http://www.guardian.co.uk/israel/Story/0,2763,936921,00.html)
in an article about Arafat's new cabinet and prime minister

The parents of the British peace activist critically wounded by Israeli troops last week while helping Palestinian children cross a Gaza street, yesterday visited the refugee camp where he was shot.

Tom Hurndall, 21, who has severe head injuries, is being treated in an Israeli hospital. He was working with the International Solidarity Movement, which places activists as "human shields" around the West Bank and Gaza.

"I feel enormously proud of Tom taking a stand," his mother, Jocelyn, said.

sad... just watched a documentry film a couple weeks ago. it was about peace activists in israel. i must say they´re all very brave and it must be scary as hell holding a camera while stopping a big tank that screams -move or we will open fire.

big respect to all peace activists !
