you genrally get the yaught outta the port at around 5am, so it sunrise, and around a mile out u get doplhins playing round the nose of the boat generally.

My folks have a mastif crossed with an american bulldog- a really sensible choice for a 70yr old couple. She looks like a pitbull , not quite as powerful. I grew up with Staffordshire Bull Terriers & a Shar Pei (i think that's how you spell it).
It interests me how breeds change as a whole over the years. Twent years ago you would get bull terriers trying to kill themselves to get at other dogs & now they seem the most placid dogs ever- a change for the better methinks.
I do genuinely think that Pitbulls have had a really bad press. Like with any breed, there are good & bad. I never once came across a mean pitbull. I suppose the threat with them is that if it does turn bad there is very little you can do to stop it, as opposed to if a Yorkshire Terrier throws a wobbly.
The breed I most dislike- Jack Russell- evil little fucks- actually I know some nice ones, but a few years ago there was one that used to really go for me- really chase me, with its fangs showing. I got my revenge by setting off a rape alarm at it, which I had borrowed from a friend.

@Basic Yes, I think the cat dog combo is a good one, if you get a cat and a dog when they are little (puppy and kitten), and they grow up together, they can be quite good friends.
my parents had a cat called tuna (I named it tuna, it was called porsche but I thought that was a bit gay), and a dog called cassey, and they where bestest of friends until my parents got another dog called holly (or doink, as my neice used to call it), and doink didnt like the cat, and stopped cassey from playing with tuna, but secretly tuna and cassey used to play.
tuna used to hide and attach doink, jump out from behind bushes and stuff. doink is a jack russell.

I'm a bit anti-dog at the moment - my mad landlady has 4 of them and they are a *****ng nightmare, they do the bins every night, eat anything that isn't nailed down and bark extremely loudly and continuously at the drop of a hat. Yeah Jack russells are pretty intelligent dogs (aparently one of the most intelligent), and they do have weird personalities. my parents jack russell ( the second they have had) is a great dog, but has loads of "issues" - like when you shout at it it freezes, and doesn't move, as if it is invisible or something. it's a tough little thing, it once had a go at an alsatian that was trying to screw the other dog, and the alsatian backed down.
