and you too basic - i'm serious about gigs. i'm desperate. i even have a small very portable kickass pa system. but i'm totally out of touch with 'scenes' and 'happenings' these days and never get to flex my dj muscles at all. any house parties/outdoor do's , anything. help me! i'm a little lost dj puppy.

@Bitch..no you dont know me, although we have meet, kind of....you did upstairs at test last time, and I had all the records as well I think apart from two I didnt know...its a slur Basic I dont deal records, although I have been known to give the odd one away..in fact Ive been so bloody skint lately that Ive bought one record in the last month..Ive have two fucked stylii and a mixer with a dodgy crossfade, I also sat down and tried to figure out how much money I had made from being in bands, etcg PA on and off for 20 odd years, suffice to say that its a negative figure that would be very handy as a tax write off...

Im buggered off with people suggesting their gonna book me then not doing it...I guess its who you know and not what you know..but then again I havent been out there er "networking"..its difficult as I have a full time job to hold down, and an aging liver to support...

I'll see what I can do Bitch_One, since you did Nurture we have just really been moving towards a mainly electro policy which was put in place this year. I will see what else is going. I'm looking into the possibility of a Basic Level one-off over the summer months. I'm open to suggestions.

@ basic were u hinting that you were going to do and outdoor thing in summer? thats what we have been desperatly trying to figure out how to do? u done one before?

we also badgered the owner of berkly 2 practice studio to let us do a party in this small warehouse we found out he had but he was having none of it.

I'm flirting with the idea of something. I was thinking perhaps something indoors but fairly unique. I'm not closed to doing an outdoor party though. I played last year over near Edinburgh in a disused quarry - that was OK. An awful lot of acid techno and dogs-on-strings at some of the soundsystems. We stayed the other side.

we once put on an outdoor party with a stripey red and white tent. i broke my foot cos a huge speaker dropped on it. we had a buckfast bar set up and i used that as anaesthetic and played for about 6 hours on one leg.

ps yer maw - as i say i'm desperate, i'll do anything. i really need to hear all these tunes i buy loud. and my neighbour is having a baby (as he told me at 3am on saturday). i told him it wasn't my fault and asked if he wanted some towels. he punched me in the gob.
