Anyone else been downloading Hardy's mixes from off the Spy site? The Heiroglyphic being stuff is great.. and the Chitown mix is epic.

http://www.spymania.com/pgs/downloads.html

All the music that's good, all the time. Several cheers for Hardy.

Yeah, that one off the Heiroglyphic Being mix that goes 'check out your mind, see what you might find' is totally boss. I need to know what that tune is. Loved the Dance Hall and the Chicago House mixes too.

Ah, the internet is great:)

I've listened to the dancehall ones loads over the years. plus the one with 'The King' but I'm not sure which mix that is. The hieroglyphic being has kept me motoring through work a few afternoons too. good work, ta hardy.

what is that song? 'The King' ? we've got that mix in the car and I love that song. crazy brass band house antics.

king of clubs is a classic tune, bloody circus oompah music, quality

Yeah King of Clubs is solid gold... in fact I vaguely remember we have someone on here to thank for it going on that mix... cos I remember giving it to Hardy after someone here mentioned it... possibly someone beginning with n... nempsey? nikrem?

i like all the regal, kingly musical motifs in that track.. like the fanfare bits and the pharoahesque egyptian bits.

Spandex

kams

aye

first time i heard it was an afterparty in glasgow, it came on and everyone jumped up and started going crazy to it... quite surreal as they'd all looked like the worst fucked up casualties seconds before

powerful track

Im very happy to hear that people are enjoying these mixes. Im afraid tracklists have been sporadic, but this should be solved now I have an auto playlist recorder for serato. http://forum.scratchtools.de/notforum/TrackTracker.msi

New mixes upping as we speak!

platinum - yeah, that 'check out your mind' cut is sooo good. It's on jamal moss' reedit series - members only historical archives - volume 1 - http://www.discogs.com/release/714860 , all volumes are worth hearing, i especially rate vol3 which is just plain bananas.

Three more!

A reggae tape - older stuff than my usual ragga mixes, pretty chill and listenable!

A hip hop tape - Just me messing around with some favorites. Lots of juggaknots, Sadat X, Doom and some older stuff too.

All music data by Robert Hood - M Plant and related goodies in the mix

www.spymania.com

I hope you enjoy them all.

Cheers for these Hardy, the Robert Hood one is PERFECTLY timed - I've been listening to the Minimal Nation reissue CD for work, and getting really frustrated at not hearing the tracks mixed together as they sort of should be....

uh, what?
there is going to be a reissue?
do you know when it should be out?

I'd never heard of Jamal Moss before, really really good.

I had one of the Erikoismies CDR albums on my ipod just before the Jamal Moss mix and I could really hear a similarity between them, I don't know why, maybe something to do with the equipment? Anyway, I like that Jamal Moss stuff for the same reasons I like the Erikoismies stuff, whatever reasons they are!

Before the end of the year I believe. There's to be quite a lot of M-Plant activity in the next few months apparently.

Heard of him, heard him, didn't really appreciate it before tho. Dunno why - didn't like the piano sounds on the Heiroglyphic Being stuff I'd heard, so didn't pay much attention....

africans with mainframes was a big deal for me when I first discovered it - that blend of chicago and industrial seemed like something genuinely new at the time
