I went to see this last night with a friend who needed cheering up. Expected it to be ok, but it's bloody brilliant. Fantastic animation, great swing music, bits of charlie chaplin and woody allen. The best thing about it is there's almost no dialogue at all. Very dark too, proper grim treatment of obesity, corporations, consumerism, ecology and waste.

I caught it at the Drive-In 2 weeks ago. Well worth the mosquitos getting me while sitting in my lawn chair.

there used to be a mobile cinema that came to my village in the summer during the 60s and 70s. usually they showed spaghetti westerns.

Yeah, I'd watch it again too. Looking forward to Batman Begins in imax next week too. Strange to have two really good blockbuster hollywood films in one month. It's usually only shite from the US in the middle of summer.

What a lovely little film. The sound design is brilliant! I downloaded it, but think I'm going to take my nephew to see it. I bet it sounded amazing at the cinema?

Actually, I found an interesting article about the sound design if anyone's interested. - http://news.scotsman.com/entertainment/WallE--Pixar-animation.4161895.jp
