camp, dude, if the weather's nice. Go along the coast - got a car? it's a pretty good adventure round those parts. clotted cream. whiskey. heart disease.

yeps, camping is the most likely. and whilst your advert for all things to imbibe is attractive i would reiterate my question as to where to go particularly? :D

Camping - I like the south coast near Falmouth, at Gerrans, or near St Austell, at Megavissey, for the nice quiet, getting away from it all vibe.
St Ives is good if you want the option of pubs & restaurants at night. There's a camp-site with statics right in the centre of town. Decent waves too in the bay.
North coast near Padstow is good if you want better food choices (Rick Stein, Jamie Oliver etc.) and there are loads of good little coves off the beaten track in that area for surfing.
Newquay is a cesspit that should be avoided at all costs.

I've been to lots of other random places too that I can't even remember the name of that we just randomly found when we were there. You can't go wrong in Cornwall, really. Just head down there and stop when you see a bit you like.

We've done what patrick suggested and just driven until we saw somewhere we liked. Then we camped on a random farm for a fiver or sommat :) I can't even remember the name of the places we went... it was all lush.

Oh, we went to see some woolly monkeys at an Amazonian Woolly Monkey Sanctuary.. that's somewhere up the Devon end. Great if you like woolly monkeys. Probably not so great if you don't.

I've spent a summer or two down there and have also been to the woolly monkey hangout, which is just outside Looe if I recollect correctly. Everything Patrick said is spot on, I'd also add Foye to the list of places to check out.

What Patrick and Spandex said. If you have a car, then tour around a bit - you'll find somewhere nice, usually for cheaper than 'proper' campsites, which are also usually full of families with horrible, horrible children. The parents are pretty bad, too.

Can't remember any nice places in particular. I went on a boat trip to 'smugglers cove' years ago (from Falmouth). That was good - over 100 different whiskeys and really nice cream tea. Have as much cream tea as possible, is my main advice, cos you'll miss it once you return. Serious.

I'm in St Agnes RIGHT NOW. S'alright. It's got an internet. It's a bit like being on the internet at home.

I startled a local by having a wireless laptop. He asked me if I had to "pump it up" or something.

Maybe I can persuade the barstaff at Driftwood Spars to provide a free beer to someone called "proober glombat" at an unspecified point in the future, should he ever turn up. Not sure how I'll approach it... I think i need to get quite drunk and then it'll seem obvious.
