saw this new David Cronenberg film the other night called 'Spider.' stars Ray Fiennes as a schizophrenic man retracing his steps before he was institutionalized. its a very draining, depressing and dark film but if you can handle such things, its worth seeing. Ray Fiennes is brilliant and i can't imagine the mental preparation in order to play this role.

sounds good...watched donnie darko on saturday. i enjoyed the soundtrack...i enjoyed the film too, it was cool but overhyped in the UK 'style' press, so i expected too much. i should never expect anything from movies. they so rarely deliver

new cronenberg yippie!! hope they hurry bringing it over here.
i wasn't that impressed by 'eXistenZ' (although it wasn't bad either), i hope he's doing something as deep and irritating as 'Crash' again. that film is amazing!
what about that donnie darko flick? who did it? a lot of you have been talking about it but i havn't seen the slightest bit over in krautland. anyone know if it's out on german allready?
errm 7875 isn't that actor called Ralph Fiennes, that guy from 'Schindlers List' / 'Red Dragon'? fine actor.

It´s his brother I think (not sure)
Cronenberg is a real hero if you ask me If you havent seen them I recomend The Brood, The Naked Lunch (not better than the book, but good anyway) and Dead Ringers

I'm really looking forward to seeing spider. I've always been a Cronenberg fan. My personal favorites are videodrome and the naked lunch.
As far as Donnie Darko goes, I agree with most of what's being said. It has its moments, but nothing spectacular. Although my expectations were high as well, so maybe that has clouded my judgement.

you guys are both right. his name is spelled ralph like ralph wiggum, but it is pronounced ray like ray liotta. not sure how that works out though. I guess hooked on phonics didn't work for ralph's parents. :!

Yepp, that´s the one.
I love the way they grow out of that woman at the institute. Lovely.
I think that was one of the influences for all the small aphex twins for the come to daddy video. They give me the same chilling feeling anyway
*thinks of children and starts to shiver* :)
