DUST Goes To Bed and Kicks The Old Bag Out

SHEFFIELD 2003: Hot on the heels of a sell-out opening night, DUST throws its second TECHNO party on the 25th of April 2003 at The Bed Club, London Road Sheffield.

DUST have proved that once you strip away the all the false values and ridiculous posturing for position it really does only come down to two things: The Music and The People…This promises to be a wicked PARTY, with more of the DUST Sound System in the room for this event, get ready for the BASS.

@DUST this Month:

Steve Bass (STDJ’s)
At just 23 Steve is already a veteran of Techno’s tough school. Lightning fast of hand but deft of touch, Steve has been lifting venue roofs around Merseyside for the past four years at the likes of Era, Mentalist and Voodoo. Uncompromising: faster than Mills with more attitude than Dave Clarke on crack: catching Bass is irritatingly pleasurable 2 hours you’ll ever spend with you pants on.

Jamie Ball (Turning Point Recordings)
Jamie has been a Techno producer and DJ for over a decade. His unique sound comes from fusing his early musical influences with his love for the abstraction, movement and atmospherics made available by modern composition processes and equipment. It’s a long shot –but it works just check out the mentalists on the dance floor when he’s playing.

His work with Turning Point Recordings goes straight onto the world’s top dance-floors and is championed by luminaries such as Dave Clarke, Ben Sims and Oscar Mulero. Jamie has played extensively around the World, earning a reputation for intense, funky, driving sets.

Ian Orto (DUST resident)
Orto is as cool as you like on the decks, with a reputation for speed and finding a groove in the dark, often playing with more 12's in an hour than a pornstar . He was once witnessed playing only 23 seconds of one track before mixing in the next! His semi-live sets are better than most of the over subscribed brigade. He’ll be releasing tracks on DUST’s own label soon, Train spotters can watch out for when he drops the dub plates …

"Ian Orto puts his no-prisoners Euro/loops techno together in a kind of way that'd wiggle the arse off a donkey"
International DJ Magazine, March 2003[/b]
