Ritalin is big in Hollywood as it suppresses the appetite, hence rapid weight loss. Fans include Nicole Ritchie and other such dafties.
Having slept terribly and very little the past few evenings, Provigil sounds tres bad. I hate not being able to sleep when i really want and need too.
Go for it though, should be a laugh.;)

I've been keen to try this as well, but the sleep thing has been putting me off.

i've heard good things about piracetam. i'm quite up for giving it a go, just haven't been bothered yet.

One of my mates went through a phase of using Ritalin. He moved to Japan to teach english and an American friend of his got him into using it when studying to further his japanese qualifications. Really helps with concentration apparently (he used to call it 'The Clarity'). IIRC they'd just buy it off ADHD sufferers.
Had a ritalin and booze fueled night out at Yellow when i went to visit him. Ended up drinking quite a lot and throwing up, though and it gave me one of the worst hangovers i've ever had.

Spoke to someone who know all about ADHD/Ritalin and he said that while it's good for sorting out ADHD sufferers, it acts as a stimulant to everyone else. Using a stimulant every day to improve your concentration? No thanks. Sounds a bit misguided imo.
