Hmmm, doesn't seem to show up on my Mac, I just get menus and a big white square...

Personally whatever I think of Warp music, I find the whole Designer's Republic thing to be tired and boring and now even worst they put their aesthetic principles in front of good common, dare I say it business sense...

an online shop that you can't see and aren't given any information about why you can't see it, even clicking on the site requirements doesn't give me anything... its a total disaster... sure I've probably not got super up-to-date something or other, but I was wanting to check out some records and maybe now if I was a more casual visitor I might just not bother coming back ever again...

Sorry had to have my rant, flash is OK, but people should be more careful, particularly if they fancy making a bob or two not to use to marginalise people who may want to visit your site...

right I'm off to Macromedia...

...sorry, I know people are going to think I'm being a bit of dick, but this site is unusable, sure it looks good (if you aren't bored of TDR), its awful, its slow, unintuitive, I keep getting return to the front end of the shop everytime I put a record in my basket...

I'm sure standard shopping engines like Amazon offend their design sensibilities, but at least they put the shopping first, can you imagine a supermarket where everytime you put something in your trolly you're magicked back to the entrance... grrrr... sorry Cristian - I'm trying buy your records but its not proving too easy... aaaaaarrrrrrrghh! oh no and now the flash bit has crashed, I'm back to the white square again... this is ridiculous...

For me everything work...I don't really understand yr opinion... This shop is as easy to use as an another shop ... design is ok and it is very quick for me ... When I read yr post, it's like U'retalkin' about another site ...

the problem with the tdr is that theyre most typical designs are the warp stuff... ( and a bit the funkstorung stuff as well )
the really predictable aka 'as soon as u look u know its TDR' stuff
those 45 dergress angles want to make me throw up sometimes.. but sorry guys but im a fan..
not to lick ass but .. Red Design have got some wicked stuff esp. Dungeon Masters cover & the Rescate one

well really all they need is a little script that checks if the browser is uptodate and if not forwards the browser to a separate, more lowfi but also more browsercompliant site - the shop itself isn't supereasy to navigate, but it is accessible and in all likelihood caters well to the large percentage of warp buyers...

I saw Raw Digits for sale on Warpmart, are Warp taking over distribution of RRR releases now?

what really annoys me is when design gets in the way of practicalities - when dj-ing, you want to be able to see quickly which track is on which bit o vinyl right? it helps to have a legible A and B on the label. why do designers so often fail to do this? the worst case ever of this was when warp put out those 3 compilations to celebrate being 10 - the design on them was so 'clever' it was like a fuckin IQ test figuring out what tracks were on which record. not much cop for dj-ing - and surely that's wot vinyl is meant to be for. i have had to resort to putting my own sticky labels on things sometimes. grrr.

grobs - u need to check that u have ticked the box which turns on ' activeX' in your browser tools to view flash-sites.

good point...
dunno MUX, but i was there on a friend's mac this weekend, and it worked just fine. I guess the browser which u view the site in is all important. some people use IE to browse in Macs...it's the browser settings which I am talking about.
