I was having this discussion on another message board, and it really is quite interesting.

Basic premise is this, presuming you will get married at some point in your life, what song would you like played as you walk down the eisle?

I was thinking maybe Hot Chocolate's I Just Called To Say I Love You

or possibly AC/DC's Shook Me All Night Long

i thought stevie wonder did "i just called..."

thought of some recently although no plans at all to get married.

id like "there is a light" by the smiths to be played at my wedding. or "fade into you" by mazzy star. and a nice black wedding dress...

and given the cure fan-ness of myself and my man we'd probably have "like cockatoos" or something. cockatoo outfits to match would be good

"Halfyway to a threeway" by jim o'rourke would cause a bit of a disturbance in the congregation. For that matter, so would " All downhill from here"

My mistake, I'm getting my soul stars muddled.

Black Wedding dress... bit of the wrong side of Goth, don't you think?

I'm getting married this summer, but as it's a Quaker ceremony, there'll be no music. In the evening, though, all the guests will dance to the sound of amplified bees.

I'll write my own song... I'm not a good song writer but I surely have a lot of time until I get married...

Not that I'm even contemplating getting wed', I think I might have 'Delicious' by Deni Hines played or my weding march.
Knowing my luck, somebody woud switch the CD, and end up playing 'My Mistake' by Split Enz... the lyrics to that track say it all....

When I got married, we had Love and Rockets' "Saudade" playing as my bride kickstepped it down the aisle. Nice little building instrumental with a nice crescendo.

BBB.

I'm new here, howdy!

..my marriage didn't last, BTW.

saudade by love n rockets is a wonderful song. very good.

slight hard-ons deviation...i used to see them a lot in london in 1990-92 ish, once one of them chatted me up. they were pretty popular in the UK pop punk scene, esp cos they did records with the stupids. i still love them and me and my girlfriends like a hard-ons revival, though not as much as we used to.
sorry that was just cheap.
