this is my mate dan demonstrating something he's been working on called timbral mapping, which is ultimately a means of performing electronic music with your voice and a microphone hooked up to a tone generator. here he's playing a zx spectrum sound chip. exciting possibilities for electronic performances, no doubt

i don't fully understand the processes behind it, but the video's accompanied by a url for his paper on the technology, for those that are interested

yeah, he did the demonstration at some technology show or something like that, so the house wasn't exactly looking to be rocked. he also said about half of them couldn't stand the music he was making
