I've been listening to that 'Sheffield' comp of theirs quite a bit recently, the one with 'nag nag nag' and 'do the Mussolini' etc. kwality.

Weirdly enough I've only heard 1 or 2 of their tracks, but have loads of Kirk/Sandoz etc. What's a good CV album to start with?

The one I mentioned is a good one to start with.

Start at the start. not always the best place.. but this time I reckon it is..

Yeah good band apart from some of their mid 80s output. I've got a fair few of their rekids from charity shops and car boots round Brighton including the original 12" of Nag Nag Nag http://www.discogs.com/release/126434

All the early stuff is fantastic, went a bit tits up in late 85 but anything before that is a must have.
