I hope it's good. Always 50/50 with a season 3 eh...

surprised it got a third series
usually the BBC don't bother commissioning a 3rd series of any comedy show unless it's got mass market appeal like 2 Pints of Lager or My Family.

I've no idea how the BBC judges the quality and popularity of it's comedy shows. Like they're always introducing Catherine Tate as 'award winning' comedy.
What fucking award is that - BBC fucking employee of the month.
Anyway bring on the Boosh, I hope it's good, been a bit of gap between the last series, so hopefully Barratt, Fielding etc have turned up some good stuff.

i've watched it once or twice and it seemed like it had some good laugh out loud moments, not enough ideas for a series though.

Aren't Fielding and Russell Brand essentially the same person/persona as well?

Nah, Fielding's much less hectic than Brand. I can imagine having a pint and a laugh with Fielding without wanting to punch either him or myself in the head.

I saw her in a dreadful 80s comedy about pop video production on BBC1 on Monday night - I thought it'd be alright cos it had John Cusack and Tim Robbins in it - she played a whore sitting on a rich man's back and slapping him. It was a bit of a double take moment but I rewinded and paused and it was definitely her. Weirdly Jello Biafa turns up at the end as an FBI Agent and has the last line of the movie - 'Look what happened to Jello Biafra'. It also had Fishbone in a bar covering Rawhide. No, I wasn't drinking

The bbc have given them progressively less money for each series.
I think what makes it still good to me, is that I've never really relied on it as a comedy, more a silly story that spills up some nice design and childlike fantasy.... realised the other day that they don't rely on sex, drugs, nastyness or swearing (that much) to support it...which is quite rare for anyone on tele.

I'm with Jerome (think he said it) I never watched the Boosh because it was especially funny (although parts of it definitely are) but more because it has fantastic stories and weird bits and such.
I've enjoyed this series so far, it's getting better as the series goes on. People who complain about the self-parody are sort of missing the point, as they've been doing that since it started. And people complaining about Shoreditch not needing people to take the piss out of it were all saying that about Nathan Barley, too. But that was brilliant, and now most people have come around to agree with me.

Do you think people outside London/New Media know what the fuck they're talking about when they say Shoreditch/Hoxton.
Fielding seems to say it in the Boosh and also in interviews and on Buzzcocks. Has Shoreditch become a national mecca for the nu rave/wave scenesters? Bit like Camden was/is for goths/industrial types?
