I reckon the second series is a lot funnier than the first. Last night's episode was a bit off the boil, but the one from last week caused several proper belly laughs.
I liked the Morris-inspired anti-piracy ad from a couple of weeks ago, too

According to Graham Linehan, he wrote the part of the boss for Chris Morris, as he wanted to do something silly for a change. Which is fair enough, I suppose. He always looked as if he was having a good time when he was on the show.
Disappointed this week with Moss doing a Guy Goma/Kewney at the BBC, since the real event was much funnier than it was in the tv show.

why does it always come back to bloody brass eye. is it the only bar by which all comedy is measured? granted, it was one of the best things on television since television began, but unfavourably comparing a daft sitcom with a biting satirical show is like saying, "i don't care for the films of mel brooks. that charlatan's got nothing on ken loach"

A joke from Porridge...
An old chap goes to doctor and says "Doctor, my wife and I are going off sex".
The doctor replies "But how old are you?".
"85" he says.
Doctor: "And how old is your wife?".
Man: "She'll be 83 next week".
The doctor says to the man, "OK and when did you first notice you had a problem?".

I really like Saxondale as well. He totally reminds me of a sound man who used to work at a venue where we did a night for years. He had been a roadie and then a sound man for nearly every rock band in the seventies as well. Always had a tale to tell. Mind you, it wasn't so great when he used to spend ages on the desk during the night trying to mix out the sub bass from the tracks cos he thought it was feedback or hum. Never really did get it when it came to this new-fangled dance music.:)
I did have an uncomfortable feeling during this weeks episode, though, when he got a telling off for being cynical about everything, especially the hippies, that I might actually be turning into Saxondale.

Unhealthy interest in music - check

We were watching it in amazement.. I can't believe how bad those rolling news channels are.
could have done without the adam curtis bit though. his "Guardian readers guide to dissent" annoys me at the best of times.. but putting in the middle of something that's supposed to be funny/entertaining was a bit mean.

The It crowd is one of the worst programs I've ever seen... I'd say it's on par with my family and all that other badly written, badly performed bullcrap!
Screen wipe is fucking ace! I've not got a silly box, so i watch them on alluc.de
