it's ok...i like one track on it...it's definitely more of his techno side. Good semi-quirky, bangin' stuff...
i liked his recent double album (forget the name of it) better...much more production-intensive.

i have always bought records for one track. i would buy a double set for one track. and yes i think there is a common phenomenon with the cari realese, i do not like 3 tracks. i wonder if we all like different tracks?

Yes, I agree there is one track on it I like, but I am more partial to his recent mindgames release and the kgb one.

I'll buy a record for one track.
I used to be very adamant about NOT buying a record unless there were at least two good tracks on it....but that was in my more youthful days of strong will power.
Now, I am weak.

when it comes to music for dancefloors, i almost always like only 1 track, very unusual if i like 2.
however 'home listening' stuff i often like a whole lot of tracks.
perhaps i am less critical and more openminded with this stuff.
or perhaps with dancefloor stuff i am trying to find stuff that i think will fit into other stuff to make people go 'woohoo', and that's why i usually like just one. but if that 1 trak is a real belter it's well worth paying for a whole album of crap. i think old trax releases for example really took the piss this way by forcing you to buy a whole doublepack of utter shit for the one total killer.

also the track i like on a record often changes over time of course. when i was young i hated curries, now i love em.

^^^ There's nothing like searching through all your old records, only to find a track that gets you all excited and you never knew you owned it.

@phdbob: i would buy a record for one track but only if its outstanding.
don´t have the money to be less picky at the moment but in general yes.
if i would get money for djing i would say of course :D

i would definitely buy a record for just one track. although obviously its really nice when all 4 are belters.

i feel that people shouldnt put out records with only one cool track...most ep´s you here they just had one and filld the rest with crap...i wouldnt buy that...even if i would be djing...why don´t they wait till they have at least 3 cool tracks...??? i´m not talking about taste but about obvious quality as far there is some...i mean obvious... but i usually find that all my friends think somehow same about some eps....and so should the musicians/labelowner...

I don't think i've got many eps where the producer has consciously put one good track down with a a load of duff tracks. They usually all have some merit.
Its strange though, I can sometimes be almost put off a 4 track record if theres only one track I like, but then have no hesitation buying a one sided 12" with only one track on it.

i've only got one of them...saw a record that played outwards from the middle once though, took me ages to work it out in the shop when it kept spitting the tonearm back at me
i would buy an ep for one good track and i do fairly often, but if it was a double pack the one tune would have to be seriously good...i dont think i can remember ever buying a 2x12 for one tune alone.
what about mail order? -i buy the majority of my stuff mail order, so it can be a bit hit and miss...is that common, or do most of you live near/manage to make it to good shops?

i don't think there are many producers who fill the ep's with crap/dump tracks...i can't beleieve there are producers purpose producing crap tracks for filling...at least the producer himself don't think that his tracks are crap/dump IMO.
it's more a thing of taste...what you like yourself or not.
for example: guess there are many people out there int the big world who like more than just one track from the new lekebusch ep..

yeh...i know...but still (sorry for being stubborn...i´m a muli) i feel some tracks are not as dense or whatever you might call it and are like..."ah ok we need one more track to fill this record..."would love to give examples...mmmh...will think bout.
anyway on lps like: she took a bullet, all music has come, busca...there are non tracks that are weak...
might be silly to start such discussion...sorry...iiiiiaaaa ahhhrgh!
--------------------------------mind! from here on different topic!!!-----------
is it really cool speaking to say : LIKE? i mean "LIKE" instead of saying : I´M GOING TO THE POSToffice to say: LIKE I´M GOING TO THE POSTOFFICE, MAAN??? DUDE???
any other HIPSTERIZMS???

blah....blah....non-topic beggar....cheers!

but some producers really think: ok we have one or two really strong tracks but the rest is average. so make an ep and make with two other strong tracks another ep with two weaker tracks together so he releases two records instead of one.
so he sells maybe twice 1700 records instead of once 2400 f.e.
and he releases 8 tracks instead of 4. the weaker tracks would maybe never released the other way.
