well get this... if work is as sad and banal and as removed from that which u enjoy as mine then u got problems: im the office donkey for a CERAMICS magazine.. ha ha ha ... yes i work for beards who dwel in caves in welsh mountain tops churning out tasteless teapots.
not ideal for an experimental music freak... its so fucking dull. and dont pay well enough either... any jobs going anywhere involving music inlondon with time enough outside them to make my own stuff?

MY work yes at the moment i work for Siemens on the world biggest exhibition center here in Hannover (Deutsche Messe AG). It suckz to check 600 PC's all the day long for Software Problems; its boring. But nice to see all the newest technical evolution like last week Cebit the world biggest Computer exhebition and in April the world biggist industrial exhibition. Sometimes its very nice to work here and mostly i don't like it. Because the most of my teammates are ass licker like the normal Community style. I hate it all the day long. Fucking money suckers.

I worked in a school for 20 years teaching key stage 1 children. They were very hard work.

i have a job but i never do any work. i want them to let me do no work from home so i can spend more time listening to my records but i don't think hr will agree. i could explain to them that it wouldn't effect my productivity but they might use that as an excuse to stop paying me.

do you mean when they are destroying it with a baseball bat?
that part was funny, but I think my favorite is the 'jump to conclusions' mat.

Speaking of being unemployed. I'm interested in hearing how different cultures handle their unemployed and the culture that surrounds it...
I think in the UK, the system makes it patently clear that they don't like you one bit and you should go and get a job immediately... in fact the moment you live full-time education you are called a "Job-seeker" hey fuckwits what if we don't wanna work in your shitbag factories... Work ethic - hah - slave ethic more like...

i have to apply for the different jobs my unemployement-office sends me or they will take away my monthly unemployment pay =(

in poland nobody cares about unemployed. if don't have job it's your problem and it's up to you to find a new work. of course there is a unemployement-office but the his efficiency is very low.

well in the states, i think this is how it works (i have never claimed any unemployment, so i am not 100% sure).
there is welfare which is money given to people without any money. i do not know how you qualify, but i think the screening process is quite hard. it isnt enough money to really live on -- my uncle used to get it due to disabilities, and my family had to also support him since there was never enough.
then there is unemployment. when you are working, your employer pays unemployment insurance to the government, and when you get fired (you have to be fired, not quit) you then get half of what you were earning for 6 months. you have to be working for a certain amount of time before you qualify. but a lot of my friends are on this now (the economy is shit) and some are making more money sitting on their ass doing nothing, than i am working a 40 hr week. great.

when i was unemployed here in germany the unemployment office didn't offer me any job !!!!!!!!!
but hey they gave me enough "jobless" money so it was okay for the time !
but at all i think the unemployment office is just like shit here, if you want a job then you have to find it yourself !
