I fucking feinted at work last night. :(
Dunno why I felt the need to tell you that, but it's the last straw pretty much and I'm leaving.
Anyone need a chef? I don't want to re-locate but I don't mind for a few months.

my job is killer too. i bet there are ppl collapsing these days. good that i'm not going to work.
the air temperature is over 40C for few days already. being outside, around the hot airplanes on boiling and melting asphalt that makes the temperature 10C,15C higher is killing.

Actually, joking aside, I really DO want out. If anyone knows of a Chef's job, preferably Head, but would consider Sous (2nd) chef's position, let me know.
To relocate, it would need to be temporary, but my CV is glowing. A small place doing quality imaginative food, local ingredients and seasonal, is my bag.

I looked at that. From what I've seen, I am able to compete at that level, but actually winning it... dunno 'bout that! Thats some good shit right there. Gimme a year or two.
I would happily come to the USA on a temp basis, but would I be allowed to work?

have you seen the shows Episodes?? It's fucking crazy the challenges they put on them...It's my favorite show to watch at the moment..Their stress level is so high, it makes them abit crazy on the show...
to work in the US you'd have to get a temp work visa...and that does cost a pretty penny...or rather and alarmingly gross one...

I work here Whuffle. They need a Sous chef, right now. Maybe come and experience America. I can get you the job today. Even better the head chef ( who is a really, really cool person) needs a roommate..An apartment two doors down from the restaurant.

I worked for years in restaurants, so I know how hard it can be. It's the hardest, yet most rewarding line of work I've ever been in. Good luck to you Whuffle. I hope you find what you're looking for.

Cheers man, you're dead right on that too.
I've lost the love for it where I am and my food and health are both suffering, so time to find pastures new before I lose it completely.

Yeah, I knew that. Not sure if as Sous-Chef I'd get away with it or not, but I'm perfectly happy to try.

I hope it works out. My main concerns would be if you get bored in such a small town and setting up a place for you to live. We'll see what happens. One of our waitresses worked for Gordon Ramsey at his new place in NYC. She says he's just as much of a prick in person. The chef you would work for (Brandon, 22) was running Anthony Bourdain's Les Halles in DC before he came to Chestertown. So thats two celebrity chefs we are twice removed form :-) (Oh, and there are no illegal aliens working for my restaurant, but they are in the area in droves. Mostly in agriculture. )..So, like I said, things change so quickly there so we'll see what happens. :!

Well, every body would like for you to work there...The Chef might be breaking up with his girlfriend..That would open up a place for you to live. Give it a little time and we'll see.
