I just found out that Netflix allows me to Download movies from my computer to watch, but I don't want to watch the movies on my computer cause I think the screen is too small..so I'm wondering if there is a way to watch the downloaded movies on my tv while running from my computer...first, can this be done and if so
does anyone have any SIMPLE NON-TECHIE instructions??
thanks so whoever can assist...:)

really, you would most likely need a get some video/audio plugs to run from the computer into the tv.
unless you were able to save and burn the flicks onto a dvd and then play it on your regular dvd player plugger into your tv.

you need a graphics card with a video output. the normal monitor signal doesn't work with most TVs Something like this at $40

a number of laptops have s-video outputs (like a little round plug with round pins arranged round in a horseshoe type shape)

lots of tvs have the same..

(im sure you can work out the rest)

I don't think that netflix is gonna allow me to save the movies, only watch them w/out having to download them...and waiting for that download time...yea!!..

I GOT MY SPEAKERS HOOKED UP TO MY COMPUTER!!....I did it myself!!!

I just finished watchin the movie Bird - a movie about the life of Charlie Parker..and it was awesome!!..

I'm feeling like a total boss this evening....I've never been one to do techie stuff on my own....so my next step is to figure out how to get this TV hooked up to the computer...

thanks ya'll for giving me some confidence to atleast try it on my own..

They're usually colour coded.. the video out on your gfx card will most likely be a yellow RCA connector like the yellow ones on here:-

There'll most likely be a matching yellow RCA connector somewhere on your telly.

Then all you need is a lead with RCA connectors on both ends.

Which you should be able to get cheap anywhere. In fact, you've possibly got some red/black/white ones connecting a deck or a CD player or sommat. You can use any old lead as long as it fits.. colour don't matter.. the colour coding is just to make it easier to see what's connected to what.
