It's a completely different production crew though - nothing to do with Danny Boyle etc. So will be interesting...

It could be like Aliens is to Alien or it could be Hollywood all-action megadross.

Terrible cheesy american voice over on the advert didn't bode well. It has nothing to do with the people who did the original, it's just an intellectual property buyout.

saw this last night and really enjoyed it....it was totally OTT as expected and some of the plot was a bit dubious, but if you like zombies go see it

Some guys at work saw it and they said it sucked - BIG TIME!!

Characters you couldn't care less about...

Crappy inconsistencies everywhere...

....but it has zombies in it.

It will rock, can't wait to see it :)

If anyone hasn't seen Dead meat BTW - see that, will put you right in the mood for it.

Wrong. Danny Boyle and Alex Garland executive produced it and Andrew McDonald produced it. Going to see it tonight. I have a feeling that it will be better than the first, which was ultimately disappointing.

of course they got executive producer credits cos they sold the IP.. executive producers normally contribute 0% to a film...

Not always. Danny Boyle had a lot of input into the film AFAIK and Andrew McDonald was the full producer.

saw it on Monday. The beginning is great... then the rest borded the shit out of me.

The areas of London they picked I know extremely well and i didn't surprise me that they managed to be empty when the yfilmed early in a morning... the model of canary wharf is OK... but the back drop painted on behind mellennium bridge is shit.

The zombie scenes were really shit: cue wobbly camera and lots of head banging with fake blook. cop-out.

Story line was shit.
Zombie action was shit after 15 minutes
Location shot were shit and predictable
ending... yawn

2 out 5.

The review I saw on the culture show said Danny Boyle had nothing to do with it.. (not that danny boyle is any badge of quality) as for the producer.. bah :)
