Ortofon pickup systems

From my Technics MK II...Giving me severe troubles lately....The back attachement contacts to the tonearm , either its only one channel thats "down" or i get a bad "humming"...Keep screwing the pickups off, and giving the contacts a light moisture (saliva) ;) can`t be the long term solution..... Does anyone know the problem? Any recomendations besides buying new ones???

..Yeah..Know what you mean, but its the only way i get the 2 channels running atm...

Proper electrical contact cleaner's best, but vodka works too. You can also reward yourself by drinking some afterwards. Just don't get it mixed up with contact cleaner. It gives me gas.
