playing around with something, and not sure which I prefer.
Both of these are the same, but with a different synth, which one does everyone think sounds better?
(also, ignore the snare, it's rubbish)
One (http://nodataavailable.com/Music/acidthing.mp3)
Two (http://nodataavailable.com/Music/acidthing-2.mp3)
I like the the more organic feel of the first one, but I also like the cleanness of the second. what do you guys reckon?

those are not tracks, maybe loops... the difference between the two, what you turned a knob to the left?

it's work in progress, I just wanted opinions on the synth
one is recorded from my G2, the other is my SH-101.

just use one that you like and then get on with it or you'll never get anything done.

that's the point, I like them both, and listened to them enough to have no objectivity

i think i prefer the second. i like the bounce. i also like the snare. trashy. some people might think my opinion on snares doesn't count for shit, but they know nothing

everyone prefers #2, which is actually the G2
I'm working it further now, I'll post something up when I've done a lot more to it

cant you decide yourself what sounds good?
making music is about making yourself happy, doing just what YOU want
be decisive for fucks sake
'oooh everyone prefers t2 so i'm gonna go with that'
PUFF
my advice would be to make some electro house... its fucking massive at the moment

the problem is, I tried to think which I preferred more, and I couldn't decide at all. I wanted some objective opinions from people I know have fairly similar taste to me.
Besides, now I've had the push, I think I do prefer #2, just because it sounds cleaner and harder.

how could you not decide??????
producing music is about making decisions
if ya can't even decide what synth sounds better its a bit of a poor do
sorry to be harsh but i just dont understand this sort of weak minded bollocks

i just listened to the tracks
you're taking the piss surely
asking for opinions at such an early stage of the track
they just sound like the same sound with the cutoff a bit more open on the second one
here's a tip...
automation
get some fucking movement in there
