The People in the States are great people (well I think still the majority), as mentioned before its the government thats all screwed up. The french fries thing is the stupidest shit I've heard in my life.
Also a few days ago they were showing some dickheads in the streets pouring out french wine in retaliation for the lack of support. a PEL has always been required for any public event, u can't get liability insurance without it. the changes which are also going through, are to make the liquor licensing and entertainents licensing to be awarded by the same council dept. currently, u have to apply to two separate bodies for these.
