grobelaar

You can fucking use this fucking software too, if you fucking like...

http://www.redchairsoftware.com/anapod/

Our office audio coder uses it on his fucking iPod...

ephpod is a neat little program.

u can also install other sofftware onto ur ipod itself - not necc for handling the tunes, but for doing other shit like controlling nuclear strikes and suchlike.

well - u can play doom and shit.

i only have a shuffle so i cant use all the wee plugins

soulcheck
31st January 2007, 20:31
There is a playlist generator for shuffle:

http://shuffle-db.sourceforge.net/

You need python for that, but it allows you to just copy mp3 straight ipod, without changing ther names and directory structure.

@Grobelaar. The point isn't that it's impossible. The point is that Apple didn't implement it that way. If it was microsoft, people surely would throw loads of shit onto them ;)

I didn't mind using v5 so much - it was fine, and it worked with last fm, so I quite liked it, but then I installed 6 and was like - get that the fuck off my machine - it's a fucking peice of shit, to make things worse - it now won't seem to allow me to get v5 working again, so I've given up with it.

Winamp will allow u to interface with pods (think u might have to pay for the newest version tho with this feature) and the likes nowadays - as will windows media player v10 +

The handy thing about that is that it makes making playlists really easy.

I got winamp interfaced with an ipod without spendin any cash. There's a plugin for it. I also used something called "Yamipod" for a bit. S'good cos it's tiny so u can bung a copy on the pod... then plug it into someone else's machine and run it from off the pod drive (windoze, osx and linux versions)... then just drag MP3s in and out.

I quite like winamp myself - never had any issues with it - weird that u guys have had probs with it, but then I'm running quite an old version of and never ever updated it, also don't have any skins or plugins running with it, maybe that could make it run better.

unimportant I guess - in the big scheme of things - especially when you consider - THERE ARE KILLER WALES SWIMMING ABOUT THE RIVER FORTH RIGHT NOW ! a whole pod of them !!

I'm off to see If I can spot them tommorow - I'll take my camera :) heheh - sorry to derail, but that info has had me quite excited since last night !

(my workmate just reminded me about this)

my mate james reverted back to his tape walkman after his work gave him an ipod when he left. it now resides in his desk drawer gathering dust (the ipod, that is).
