hahaha, the finnish one sounds like a cheesy 8 bit version of the timbaland.
begs the question - when you are as good at producing as timbaland, why would you steal some really basic piece of music that isn't much cop?

because secretly he is in love with 8bit music, but too scared to go public with it in the mega hella pop world.... soo he subtly places it in nelly furtado's songs.

here's an idea. maybe timbo has a load of sweaty young sound engineers chained to desks on no money creating beats that he then takes credit for cos he tweaks them. and one of the wee sweaty engineers nicked this beat.

Nothing new under the sun, but I think he should've asked permission from the original artist first. Makes him weak producer in my eyes. This was the first time when I even heared about him.

personally i think people who take other peoples music and use it without permission are a disgrace. its just theft...imagine if i just stole some c64 music, stuck a new beat on it and released it as my own..
oh...
err..

Despite all the controversy the original is still kind of rubbish.
Hip hop artists sampling other artists... Madness... MADNESS

90% c-64 music was quite rubbish ;)

Timbaland's produced the new Bjork album. Could be good.

so.. his argument is that he can't be expected to know where all his samples come from?

It makes me laugh. The part I don't understand, the dude is trying to act like I went to his house and took it from his computer. I don't know him from a can of paint. I'm 15 years deep. That's how you attack a king? You attack moi? Come on, man. You got to come correct. You the laughing stock. People are like, 'You can't be serious.

Well as I see it Timbaland is saying that it's a coincidence - and as the music IS really basic, I'd say that was actually a possibility.

he's full of shit.
anyway, what do i care. i think they both suck.

Wasn't Timbaland saying that he sampled that c64 guy's tune?

I hope he steals more of their music and improves it.
They should be happy about the situation.

Then he'll start improving Beckett & Taylor tunes ;)

Oh yeah whoops - I had only read the quote above, hadn't clicked the link.
Still he's fucking Timbaland - he can do whatever he likes in my book.

what if he broke into your house and sodomised your wife whilst you were forced to watch, chained to the radiator?
would that be ok?
mdk
18th February 2007, 16:52
he'd probably write a review of it for mixmag.
ckpqerjwrpwp
18th February 2007, 16:54
I bet he'd get some good loops out of it, just make sure he has a pencil to tap on the radiator... swap it for a paintbrush every 1 bar in 16.

i think one of the top producers in america, earning a fortune just turning up could afford to throw some chump change at some finnish bloke before
ripping him off.

If this happened to me i'd be laughing all the way to the bank.
Or I'd arrange a Timbaland remix in an out of court settlement..
