Grrr, I still haven't got this on vinyl - for some reason it seems to have alluded me - sadly I'm such an occasional shopper these days - I used to be a real Saturday afternoon 'right lets go and spunk my money on loadsa useless shit' merchant...

And that's not to say that Dungeon Master is useless shit - far from it, but as it hasn't surfaced at my usual record outlet - it means a mission into London retail land - aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggh, spare me from the west-end...

Mind you, Oxford St is usually packed with some pretty tasty birds, specially if you go for a coffee in the Plaza shopping centre - its where all the wannaby models hang out between agencies... :)

well I just got back from tower records and I did a search on the computer they have there. I pulled up cristians name and they had a listing for dungeon master + live. next to it there was a marking for 3/11, meaning it is to come out on the 11th of this month. the only weird thing was the year was listed as 2002. so I am not sure how correct this is. I am assuming cris would have a better idea.

-vogel's masterpiece of high-definition sound architecture. he's at the heighth of his ability to manipulate sound and use it as a means to represent a vision. easily the best album of the past year.

i know, you must all be thinking, "that guy is riding his nuts!" but honestly, the more i listen to this album, the more i realize how gifted he really is and how, like much of his work, is years ahead of anything else.
peace-

DM was the freshest thing on our relative dancefloors this year.
Cristian : did u go for that copyright protection u mentioned?
i guess that this way, releasing the vinyl beforehand could show you with the cd out, and being accessable to more hands ( not everone spins.. ) if sales on the vinyl would be increased.. it's a perfect example cause it was totally made to rock the floor.
We dont layback or stroke our chins on the floor. we boogie.

@ 7875 ... two years ago I had a vision that you were going to say something cool like that !!! BIG UP !! means a lot to me that its not just a field of mindsteins out there ...

@ MUX - well , I went for the live set being one whole index track on the bonus CD - meaning that no track can be easily taken out of context of the live show , and not many people will download the entire disc.. Plus , the bonus CD itself should be justification for most normal people to actually buy a copy - I'm not sure what price the retail stores will sell at , but I hope they don't take the piss !

The release date is :

hooray! real techno makes it's way to becoming home listening. on the other hand, the extra CD makes it a real incentive to buy even if you have the vinyl I rekkon.

It would be really nice to have this on CD-format `cause i am one of the few guys which are never in posession of turntables.

I am excited about it since I haven't heard dungeon master yet at all. I haven't been buying much vinyl as of late. but the live cd is what I am really interested in since I have never heard or seen a vogel live set. should be killer.

I'm really looking forward to checking this out too.

What with the album, which has had cracking reviews, and a bonus cd .... it sounds like its gonna be a right bobby dazzler ....

...me too I reckon (I'm a sucka for Live sets, I think its a really cool idea for a bonus CD, maybe it'll catch on, I hope so...)

Haven't bought any CD for couple of years now. Maybe that's the right time?

Is this Live Set recorded at some party or is it a studio live set?

Cristian said it is a liverecording from his appearance @ TimeWarp 2001.
I was there and it was superb.

I see. Well, I've got this Live Set downloaded and DM vinyl so probably won't buy the CD, but surely will recommend it to those without a deck.

I must be dead weird me, cos even if I'd downloaded it and heard it before, I'd still buy the cd cos of the nice cover and bits and bobs you get with it.

Plus you get to know what the tracks are. I hate it when you hear a great track and you don't know who made it.
