You wanna watch it, one of those acts you've booked are really dodgy - they drink all the beer in the rider, and then roll around on stage, kicking the PA to bits and spitting on the punters..

yes. i remember djc describing the spitz as the
'Perfect venue setting for the soulful sounds of super_collider, sprinkled with a bit of si-begg.
Dark but airy, tables and chairs for those who just want to vibe-out, good viewing positions.
Not the usual beer and pills night.
More of a Red Wine and cigar night.'

i've got to hand it to the band - that was one of the best live performances I've heard. I really wasn't expecting something so well-crafted, so atmospheric and so god-damned funky - and Jamie's singing was absolutely spot-on the whole way through. I think a s_c live album has got to be in the pipeline somewhere surely?
max respect to s_c and to the wurk guys for managing to move their insanely excellent night into the big(ger) league.

OK, ‘fraid its time to go into total fanboy gush mode… What a superb night, totally blown away by Super_Collider it was every bit as good as I could have imagined and then some… It sounds corny, but I got very drunk last night and I’ve woken up this morning and I still have this huge grin plastered all over my face and I’ve headed into work with a definite spring in my step - no seriously its that good… Big hi to everyone, was good to meet Mux, Emma, Jamie and of course Cristian - apologies if I was loud, drunk and at times a bit northern - what can I say - big thanks.
Plus I should say that Si Begg and the Werk boys were also the business - laying down some eclectic beats and even jammin away on their gameboys at one point... a top night...
I should advise anyone going to Dedbeat that if they are entertaining the idea that there might be some thing more worthy (somebody sticking some boring rekkids on for instance) to go and see on another stage, while Super_Collider are playing then they’ll be making a very, very big mistake...

Thanks alot Grobs , yes - it did seem like quite a good night, I met SO many people that night! and I enjoyed that after party in the toilet bar place... Dedbeat ended up sounding better than the Spitz - Imagine that!

sound at spitz was fine, dedbeat had a fucking massive rig so its hardly surprising the sound was better, but that's irrelevant - this was an excellent night, i lost my voice which is testament to that. its still lost
it was packed and i got a lot of great feedback about the band and about Werk both in person and in my email today!
thanks to all crew for sorting it out so well, we really appreciate it...the music at the after party was awesome too but we were all too tired to stay right to the end...

The spitz was a fantastic night .... S_C were absolutely fantastic live.
I noticed that quite a few people (including S_C themselves) took videos/pictures of the performance. Has anybody got any plans to make these available for public viewing ??

I took a video of it. I only got back from london yesterday, so nothing done yet. I'll try and source audio from the desk if I can from Mr Lizard. Too pissed to remember whether I asked him on the night or not. If I can I'll mix that with the camera sound to give it a bit of atmosphere and post it on the ftp as a MPEG-4 or something. What are people's bandwidths like & how much space is on the ftp? This could be a BIG file.

Its captured now, I'm just waiting on a mini-disc from the desk - I think the drummers got it. Then I'll do a couple of tracks to see what the file sizes are like. After that I'll have a chat with wheezer and stick some stuff up. Coming soon......

It won't be done until next week sometime at the earliest, I'm going to Bristol tomorrow to see Jamie & Matt YK and the red design novamatic film. Then it's my birthday this weekend & I have a lady friend visiting. Sorry, I'm just going to have to keep you all on tenterhooks ;)
