If we're talking like THE best, and not ONE of the best - for me , it's an easy choice - burial , burial, one of the best electronic albums , that does in fact hang together like an album should that i have heard in quite some time.
Thanks for the reccomendations on that too nf massive.
Was valley of shadow released this year or last ? That was also shit hot, as was gonglot by frog pocket.
it's been a quick year likes - like u say - hard to remember what's come out when :)

It's been a really good year, I know that - but fuck knows what and when. Yeah I love Conglot as well.

For me, the burial LP was the best electronic LP. Similarly, the Various Productions singles made a big impression on me. The album and their live show dissappointed me though.
The new soundstream is as good as they always are.
I liked the HOTPs.
Also liked Susanna and the Magical Orchestra's Melody Mountain and Diane Cluck's new album.
Ryoji Ikeda's Dataplex is super.

lots of stuff on Touchin Bass...
Makes me think of "touching cloth". I had a real problem with the film "Touching the void" for the same reason. People kept telling me it was good.. but all I could think was "hurr hurr hurr.. touching cloth".

The last record on touchin' bass is really good though:

It is the start of a new genre called assmatic electro.
I almost forgot J Dilla's donuts. That was 2006 wasn't it?

I don't really listen to the Burial album as a whole thing.. too much filler.. but there are certain tracks which are certainly some of the best things i've heard this year... like 'Broken Home'
