did he really worked against the law there?

anyway, he is a great artist. im a bit confused that no one heard of him here at the board.

I've heard of him but I don't really care for his work.

What sort of stuff is it?

i have heard of him AND i think he is great.

@irrungen

he's detroit ish and pretty weird. a little like theo parrish, with less of the jazz / funk elements. bizarre lo-fi squashed up tracks.

If you want to hear some, do a search for him on http://www.boomkat.com . I've had a listen and like it. There was something that sounded like a very old computer game on there which was great, can't remember what it was called though.

I like him but I've only bought a couple of his records. But I can say the same about Theo Parrish and he is brilliant too.

Love his stuff. FXHE is one of the few labels I've obsessed about recently, picking up nearly all the releases. Malik Pittman is also on fire at the moment imnsfho.

Yup. marcellus = malik.

ok, thought so. He has been one of my favourite lesser known producers for a while. Went to see him, rick wilhite and theo parrish on saturday. Played some fantastic music especially the first two.

Brett Dancer is another one of my favourites. Some very nice slo mo records over the years by him on his own trackmode label. Not sure if it's still operating though.

Was that at that warehouse project thing ? I've read a few reports about that. Most people seemed to be saying Malik was the star of the show and reckon he shouldn't have been on warm-up duties and that Theo was good, but got a bit annoying with eq/isolator abuse at times ?

yeah, but I would say the venue was a FAIL. so theo parrish prolly can't be blamed if somethings sounded bad.

or like Iarnród Éireann's (Irish Rail) old ad slogan:

"We're not there yet, but we're getting there"

Yup, good motto for a train outfit. Think they gave that one up and replaced it with just "Well, fuck it anyway" :)

I'm always slow on things. I bet I'll start liking dub-step a few years after it isn't considered cool.
