The James Wood / Debbie Harry film? I can't actually remember the soundtrack or score.

Howard Shore did it in 82 its great,my childhood best. he stuffed it with low-key minor harmonies and dark, cunting manipulative sound creations. if you ever watched Cronenbergs "brood" in which Shore did the sound, you will notice the difference, well ecectronioc with a non-acoustic sound. pretty tripy, my fave is A Slow Burn its got like a mechanical rabbit breathing noise which scares me. apparantly he did it on a Synclavier which my grandma actually has and when i was little she would set it up and fire off mental noises in to my prosphetic detatcheble "beadle hand" just order it and appreciate true genius at work.

phase 4 has a good sound track, done by dave vauhouse (spelling????) he was part of the radiophonic workshop and also part of Whitenoise (the band).
Videodrome is a grand film... Assault on Precinct 13 thats a john carpenter film, he often does good musick (escape from new yourk has great musick) - so does darkstar....

yeah the old carpenter films are ace. can't believe what crap he does nowadays. saw that 'Vampires' in cinema - pure waste of money! and i didn't even see 'Ghosts of Mars' that is probably even worse.
