anybody here heard of momus? he's one of those guys where you hate him or love him. actually that's not true cause i just kinda like him. his new album (i think) was co-produced by "the super madrigal brothers" who are on their own quite amazing. they're a 2 part group that does a lot of gameboy & modular stuff... but they're really good at producing full sound-spectrums. they can get a gameboy to rumble your nuts with baroque music. check em out if you don't know em.

my sister who is 10 years older than me showed me the light as a child, she was into new-wave in the early 80's and from her I have heard of momus.
didnt realise he was still going, some-one the other day told me about an album he did where he got people (mainly fans) to pay him money and he would write a song about them... has anyone else heard this?

i thought you guys were talking about this young teen girl idol band cald morning musume or momus for short. it is like 25 little 14 - 16 year old girls singing the worst euro crap you have ever heard but wearing really short skirts and making obnoxiously pouty faces......
ummmm anyway.....

actually that album was done to help him pay for a lawsuit. i guess he wrote some song that called the michellin man a pedophile or homophobe (i can't remember which, but wither way it was absurd) and the michellin company sued him for damages... totally rediculous. the songs he came up with were pretty good. you had to submit like a 100 word essay on yourself and he came up with songs based on that. pretty clever way to make up for some losses though.
@gunjack- momus is definately not a little japanese girl :!

haha morning musume - I think my favorite video by morning musume is love machine, although kai no dance site is pretty cool too... oh and that e-kara commercial, because it seems to make fun of the fact that there's ten members in that band and no sane person could ever remember that many people....

so are they like the female version of menudo?
does a girl have to leave the band if they start developing breasts?

sheridan I'm uncertain about the intricacies of this band since I am located in Finland - I mostly perceive this phenomenon over weird videos that float my way over my ADSL line - it seems to me like they've had the same 10 chicks in all the videos I have...

no dude. thay have done 2 or 3 nationwide auditions since then and there are literally 25 girls now. the first audition, they decided the winners on a mixture of "talent" and (sex)appeal, but this lasy televised audition, the girls chosen sounded like a someone beating a baby with a half dead cat........

the original "lead girl" left the band to persue a "solo" career (and also because she was 26 and the others were 13 - 17) appearently "solo career" means sometimes going on the morning musume show and guest staring on soap operas where "acting" is a foreign concept.........
