can someone help (invisible planet, mux?)

to tell a new member how to put up their avatar?

i really have no idea! great admin i am

Click settings in the yellow strip above, click edit options,
scroll down to bottom of page, click change avatar, if you have a url with the .jpg .gif (or what ever) for your avatar put it into the address, or you can upload an avatar.

I think the limit is 150x150 pixels and make sure it's 72dpi or something sensible - not 300 dpi

u used to get pissed of when cristian used that dinsour thingy cause it was HUGE.. i wanted one that size

but now that everyone got an avatar i think 100 is a bit too big.. either that we ditched the signiture or top 3 .. or both!

the image-size limit for an avatar is 100x100 pixels,
and file-size limit is no greater than 10k.

to adapt an image to fit, use a preparatory program like adobe photoshop/image ready

to upload an avatar:

click on settings»edit options»
scroll to bottom»click 'change avatar'
wait a moment...new screen appears..
either select NO for no avatar OR
select YES in 'custom avatars' section..
THEN either enter the url of the correctly sized avatar, ELSE
click 'browse' and select the avatar from your own computer files

great lil' program I bought from them for only $50.00

makes good animations and is an easy choice for visual editing.

its worth noting that when you click on 'change avatar' it flashes to the change avatar screen - now because the change avatar button is at the bottom of the edit options screen and the change avatar bit is at the bottom of the change avatar screen - you do get this confusing moment where it looks like pressing the 'change avatar' button hasn't done anything... because it jumps to the top of the next screen and you can't see the bit where you change your avatar... it gets me every time...

Does any of this make sense? Give it a go you'll see what I mean - I think this may be why newbies are having avatar trouble..

knowing sonic foundry I bet it isn't for mac users.
is there another program similar that is mac friendly?

Here's a question:
How do u attach a picture to u'r reply msg?

It depends, if it is on your hard drive you use the attach file bit below the reply box.
There is a button that says browse on it, just click that and find your picture then click open.
when you reply the image should appear. (provided it is a jpg,gif or jpeg)

If the picture is on the web the use the IMG button above the reply box, just copy and paste the url of the picture in to the java sript prompt.

Hope that was helpful, I'm crap at explaining things in writing.

i want to know how to make a small database of picture's that automaticly changes your avatar every post. there's a guy on the watmm board that has the coolest avatar ive ever seen. its all flash but since its referenced from a web site it changes everypost and does its little flash thingy and its so preety. i dont know, i cant figure out how he does it.

watmm board is scaled to experimental shit like aphex and what not. i like the board they have but they move way too fast. everyone has like 8000 posts in a month per user. there is just too many users!
