Eminem's concert in Glasgow is to go ahead despite concerns over a sickening attitude to women, appallingly obscene language, an irresponsible attitude to sex and violence, and, of course, the booze.

But Eminem said that, despite these shocking traits, he would wait and "judge the Weegies for himself."

haha, the salt and sauce thing is brilliant. Ironically, it's diluted with vinegar anyway.

You wouldn't believe it, but I've never ever seen one never mind tasted one. It's always Glasgow people associate them with generally but as you say, they only tend to creep up in Edinburgh. I believe they do have them on the West coast too, I must concede that, but that is generally places like ayr and troon where all the scum go for the fair holiday so I'd expect that.

nigella lawson made battered bounty bars for her posh chums, and i have to say from their ecstatic reaction they did seem rather tasty

I would like to try one out of morbid curiosity, but it is too funny when I'm away seeing any of mates darn sarf and the first thing somebody I've just met will say is "Ahh, Glasgow - deep fried mars bars and all that". I usually go "yeah, darn the apples and pears me ol' cock sparra - lurrrverly" or "Gawd bless ya kind sir"
