Sagen hallo zu Ihrem dummen grandma. Das letzte Mal ging ich ringsum ihr Haus, das sie einen Karottehammer berührte.

Haha. Is that when you hear dire straits passing you on a big float and then into the distance? A true phenomenon of the modern world.

scary more like
i grew up with them they were the first CD band - my mum had everything they ever did and the live videos. i cant help liking "love over gold", its a good album, and the knopfler scores to movies 'Cal' and 'Local Hero' were ok but really. aaaarrrgghh i know too much about the straits! damn you phil for bringing it up.
my mum also got me into bowie, the stones, the who, brian eno, steve reich and countelss other great artists but i have her to thank for dire straits, bryan adams (only Restless...) , bruce springsteen and zz top being in a warm place in my heart . this is all too hoxton.

@IP
I think the Hoxton reference is aimed at some of the peeps you get there that find it trendy to indulge in the eighties - a bit like soprting Mullets and ill fitting tracksuit tops. Pretty much like the Nathan Barley set that frequent Shoreditch. I might be talking shite though.

no that is correct basic. you will find zz top tshirts and records there on constant rotation. its ironic music taste
