...has this ever happened to you?

Just think about the freedom one has here on NF. Most boards have so fuckin tight rules, that makes a (spoiled) NF user laugh how riduculous some boards are...

I dared to post a thread on a german mobilephone board.....(sorry that`s part of receiving information for my job) with a topic that was posted maybe 4 weeks ago.... I got the advice from 3 members to use the search engine (in a fuckin snotty tone) , and never dare to post a thread that has been up for that past time...... So i just told them to shut the fuck up,(in big letters) and told one of the moderators to do the same as he also came into the scene....lol

So now i got my account deleted, and the thread got locked.......

What a bunch of snotty bastards who only wear the crown on such boards, but have a small willy in real life, and get beaten by their wifes......

that holier than thou attitude pisses me off so much, it's hardly welcoming is it? if you feel like you are gonna get flamed you are less likely to join in, and hence they lose any contribution you might make. completely self defeating.

losers.

I just joined a board recently and all the mods are such whiney tossers, there is really is no point trying to join in.

That reminds me of the 'Slam Events' forum set up by some buffoons here in Glasgow, ruled with a iron fuckwitted lack of fun. I don't think I have ever been on a less enjoyable forum.

I have been banned from a new york based dance forum. the people on there were right twats so I assumed the identity of kathy lee gifford and proceeded to tear into people. people thought it was funny for a while but then I stepped it up a notch and ultimately got banned. although my real account is fine, even though I don't use it anymore.

I got happily banned from shitty trance and schranz DJ Mark EG from Blackout Audio for saying that loop and filter techno lacked any talent.

He objected to me being straight up and honest with to some shitty producer who everybody was but kissing.

that was after him hiding away in is studio for weeks to come up with the new sound of techno; only to unvail some bassless loopy cack that sounded like a locked groove off a sample CD. Wanker.

we'll accept anyone.....any clown, joker, musician(except for trance)..whatever...

it's a regular carnival around here!!..

we need some order and discipline!!!....

I am not any kind of musician or DJ - I'm just here for the craic.
I don't even like wonky techno that much.
In fact one of the first posts I made on here was to diss Supercollider

i do have a go at people who slag my mates off but we've only banned a few people. pongoid was one. phil about a million times. gunjack for a month but then i forgot about him so it turned out to be longer. and someone else whose name escapes me near the beginning of the board.

the thing is you need a lot of energy to be banning people, but also if you dont have any forum rules, its a bit hard to be doing it left right and centre. only when a line, decided by me, has been well and truly crossed, which makes this forum a bit totalitarian really!

yeah but up until that line is crossed it's pretty much the anarchy of the schoolyard in here - which is cool...

PMSL. If people got banned from my site (Gladtalk) merely for disagreeing with the mods, the banlist would have nearly 1,000 names on it instead of just three.

Your great contribution I believe was to keep opening new posts saying "Hahahahahaa, you're maaaaaaaaad!" when a thread was closed. Whoa dude, you really had us on the ropes there.

I'd basically forgotten about you until I saw this thread, so it's really made my day to see you're still upset about it a good three or four months later. Hahaha.

As far as I'm concerned you were banned for behaving like a knobhead. I'd throw you out of my house if you insulted my guests, pissed in the potted plants and wiped your arse on the tablecloth. My house, my rules. Same goes for my board.

Apologies to Lady E for replying to this on her board but I just couldn't resist rising to the bait.

95% of the music at Glade was pretty wank thou. Cut the psytrance arse and commercial breaks - put some proper music on outside and in the main tent next year eh? And why was overkill tent quieter than my nan's gramaphone playing Abba on a sunday afternoon.

Someone probably told them that over the champers at Big Chill.

As for Glade, the main organisers are psy-trance people and the bulk of punters seem to be psy hippies, so things are very unlikely to change on that front. Newer genres like hardcore, mashcore etc are big enough to have a festival of their own now, dunno why nobody's done it yet.

it's on the rise again...much as i love pete from bb, he is a psytrance fan and that is surely going to make it more well known as a genre. psytrance has plagued brighton for years...but strangely i find i care much less than i did in 1996. let them eat dat tapes.

it wears you down like a pumice stone...
i'm trying not to hate specific genres of music as it generally means i'll like it in 2 years when no one else does... and have to eat my words... at least the vinyl is often dirt cheap by then...

I know - that's why I ain't going again.

As for psytrance hippies - I just saw office workers dressing as pseudo-hippies for the weekend and dancing to music they think is the best that the whole scene has to offer on lots of drugs.

Maybe I expect too much taste and individualism from people when all they want to do is take bags of Es and pretend they're spinning their poi on some spirital quest to abandonment.

i don't see that pretention from dubstep and wonky bangcore - maybe I do with some of the dread crowd?
